Virginio Bernardi

Virgilio BernardiBorn in Caserta on January 7 th , 1954.

Married with Teresa Antonucci.

Two children: Francesca and Paolo.

He was born in Caserta , where since he was very young, started a coaching career. Romano Piccolo and Giovanni Gavagnin were his masters, "Big Elio" Pentassuglia (at that time coach at Napoli Basket ) his idol and Franco Marcelletti shared the first dreams.

His first experience in the "minors" is in third division in Scauri, a small town in the lower part of Lazio famous for its sea. Then Antonio Farina , G.M. of Desio, calls him to northen Italy listening to Giancarlo Sarti 's suggestion. He goes to coach in Lombardy, the Mecca of basketball.

Dreams come true and in four years Aurora Basket Desio goes from being a province (third division) to being a metropolis (first division), even if it still doesn't have an arena big enough for first division basketball. After that, many adventures in Brescia , Forlì, Varese , Reggio Emilia, Trieste , Caserta , Cantù, Fabriano, Lugano, Rieti, Scafati and Montegranaro: a life lived with luggage always ready.

Three promotions from second to first division and as many firings , coach of the year in 1993, finalist of the Italian Cup with Illy Trieste in 1994, defeated after an overtime from Benetton Treviso, then coached by Mike D'Antoni.

Virginio coached players of the bore of Bob Mc Adoo, Mike Mitchell, Mike Brown , Reggie Theus and Dean Garret. He also discovered players like Claudio Crippa , Corrado Fumagalli, Andrea Meneghin, David Londero and Roberto Casoli, finding in Puglia a Gianluca Basile.

After he left the bench, Virginio started a career as sports agent with "Interperformances"  of Luciano Capicchioni, inventing the role of "Coaches Agent".

Luigi Bergamaschi

Luigi BergamaschiBorn in Foiano della Chiana on June 11 th , 1951.

Married with Gabriella Cenisio.

One child: Lorenzo.

Everything starts in 1973 in Arese. Luigi starts coaching very young kids on the basketball court of the oratory of Arese, which at the time was a very small town in Milan 's hinterland. Thanks to the first successes, a town gym was built, one that became for many years theatre of great victories and unforgettable memories. In the next ten years, from 1978 to 1988, the team in Arese goes from eighth to third division, and then to second division after a memorable playoff series against Stefanel Trieste.

Since 1988 Luigi leads Aresium-Teorema-Ambrosiana Milan for eight seasons in the second division including, in the role of General Manager, the final promotion from second to first division in 1995. After the disappearing of the Club in 1996 Luigi starts the activities of scouting, agent and event organizer, always bounded to basketball.

He organized the first Italian Summer League (Nutella Cup), which was set in the cities of Milan and Bologna . Later on he is the first director of the "Dino Meneghin Timberland City Camp". These adventures lasts three years during which he ALSO has a parenthesis as a coach in Vigevano .

In those years he starts the cooperation with the American Agency "Advantage International" as consultant and agent for Italy . After that he signed the agreement with the "Bell Management" which starts his career as sports agent specialized in American Players.

He was the agent during the years for: Henry Williams, A. Goldwire, Keith McLeod, David Vanterpool, Derrik Dial, Mahmoud Abdul Rauf, Ansu Sesay, Rodney Monroe, Charles Smith, Alvin Young, Corsley Edwards, Chandler Thompson, Larry Ayuso, Luis Flores, Tony Dawson, ScoOnie Penn, Beno Udrih, Mate Skelin, Alvin Smith, Joshua Powell, Damir Mulaomerovic, Duane Woodward, Travis Watson, Preston Shumpert, Rick Apodaca, Randolph Childress, Michael Hicks, BJ McKie, Ronald Slay, Terrel Lyday, James Collins, Anthony Grundy, James Thomas, Delonte Holland, Jack Martinez, Aleksander Capin and Sean Colson.
He has 34 years of work in basketball: 23 as a coach, 3 as a promoter and 8 as an agent. On the field he is the only coach in Italy who has 8 promotions. He has been two times coach of the year in the fourth and third divisions and in 1989 he received the " Career Award " from the Italian Federation of Basketball.

He is graduated in Political Science at Teramo University and he has attended a Master in "Sports Law and Economy in the European Community".

In 1997 he started his carrier in basketball world with Campli Basket and then he began a collaboration with a player agent, Ernesto Ciafardoni.

In 2002 he collaborates with "Interperformances" in San Marino , representing many Italian players.

In 2006, when DoubleB Management was born, he becomes the "founder co-worker" and now represents Italian players like Guido Meini, Marco Rossetti, Stefano Simeoli, Giovanni Tomassini, Gabriele Niccolai, Marco Caprari, Marco Evangelisti, Matteo Rossetti, Andrea Conti, Giancarlo Palombita, Luca Sottana, Gennaro Tessitore, Thomas De Min, Davide Reati, Matteo Da Ros, Riccardo Marzoli, Fabio Lovatti.
